Hennis Exteriors was established in 1985 by Mike Hennis, soon after graduating from college. Mike Hennis, founder, has a long history of roofing that started alongside his father as he worked for his father's roofing company prior to going to college. The Hennis name itself has a name in the roofing business, as two of Mike's brothers also had their own roofing companies. In 2018, Mike’s son, Jake, bought Hennis Exteriors and now manages the company today. Jake graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a degree in Construction Management and minor in Business Administration.

Hennis Exteriors is proud to employ all local men, and no subcontractors. This allows us to guarantee top notch performance as Jake works alongside his employees every day. Some employees have been with the company from the start, giving a testimony of the company and the commitment of the employees. All of our roofers take pride in the service provided, especially in the clean-up of the site after construction. To separate us from other roofing companies, we still hand nail all of our shingles, which is a rarity to find in the St. Louis area.
